Tai Chi for Health

Dr. Paul Lam and a team of researchers developed Tai Chi for Health, an evidence-based exercise program to introduce persons with arthritis or those with a fear of falling to Tai Chi.  This eight week program is found to relieve pain caused by arthritis, improve balance,  help prevent falls, and improve quality of life.

This program was rigorously tested and proven to effectively help persons with arthritis and at risk for falling. 

Tai Chi has been shown to:

  • Improve balance
  • Improve muscular strength
  • Improve mobility
  • Increase flexibility
  • Improve psychological
  • Decrease pain
  • Prevent falls

Workshops meet:

Once or twice a week

30 minutes – 1 hour

8  consecutive weeks
